Model Town is a planned garden suburb laid out in the 1920s, and its blocks, circular roads and mature trees still give it a different character from the denser parts of Lahore. It is largely residential and noticeably quieter.
Model Town Park is the district’s main green space and a popular spot for morning walks and weekend outings. The area also has long-established clubs and local markets, and Link Road and the market areas around the blocks are where most shopping and eating happens.
It suits a slow morning rather than a full day of sightseeing. Early hours are the best time for the park, and the neighbourhood works well as a calmer alternative to the busier central districts.
