Gulberg is one of central Lahore’s most active districts, a mix of residential blocks, offices, showrooms and restaurants. For many visitors it is the easiest base in the city: most other parts of Lahore are a short drive away.
MM Alam Road is the district’s best-known dining and nightlife strip, lined with restaurants and cafés that stay busy into the late evening. Main Boulevard Gulberg is the main artery, with banks, showrooms and large retail frontage, and Liberty Market sits in Gulberg III. Hafeez Centre, a multi-storey electronics market, is also nearby.
Come for a long dinner or a café afternoon, and expect traffic around the main roads at weekends and in the evening. Parking can be tight near the busiest stretches, so ride-hailing is often easier.
