Lahore Cantonment, usually just called Cantt, is the city’s military-administered area. Its wide, tree-lined roads and orderly layout feel quite different from the rest of Lahore, and parts of it are quiet and green.
Lahore Cantonment railway station is a major rail stop for travellers, and Fortress Stadium is a well-known venue for events and sport. Cavalry Ground is a popular area for casual eating, with a variety of local restaurants and dessert places.
Some roads and areas have access checkpoints, so carry your ID. The district is easiest to explore by car or ride-hailing.
